Environmental Commitment and Stewardship at Nova Pacific

At Nova Pacific, effective environmental management is integral to our success, from day-to-day activities on-site to corporate strategic planning. We are committed to complying with all applicable laws and regulations, as well as adhering to our Responsible Mining Policy and framework.

Our primary objective is to minimize potential environmental impacts by implementing tailored environmental management controls and procedures. We achieve this through:

  • Environmental Impact Assessment: Identifying, quantifying, and eliminating or mitigating impacts.
  • Integration of Environmental Controls: Incorporating controls within our operations, with ongoing monitoring to evaluate their effectiveness and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Risk Assessment and Management: Minimizing the potential for unforeseen environmental impacts or incidents.
  • Routine Checking and Continuous Improvement: Conducting annual environmental audits to ensure ongoing compliance and improvement.

Nova Pacific is dedicated to the responsible management of tailings facilities, emergency preparedness and response, post-incident recovery, and adherence to applicable legislative and regulatory requirements, permit conditions, and our Code of Conduct, Ethical Values, and Anti-Corruption Policy. We employ a comprehensive and integrated approach to tailings management, ensuring that potential safety, environmental, and social impacts are reliably identified and minimized.

Our operations are designed to be efficient in mining and mineral exploration and processing, with a focus on minimizing the quantities of tailings stored on the surface. This includes a thorough understanding of the tailings characteristics, facility construction materials, and the final settings in which they are placed.

Nova Pacific’s environmental commitment extends across diverse ecosystems. Our proactive strategy for environmental stewardship includes the identification, mitigation, and management of environmental impacts. This commitment is ingrained in our core values.

Recognizing the urgent need to address climate change, Nova Pacific intends to collaborate with governments and communities to support the transition to a low-carbon economy.
